Innovative Practices for Transforming Residential Services: Strategies from the Building Bridges Initiative
A Four-Part Series
CWLA is pleased to announce the Spring 2008 series of Competence On Call, the teleconference series that provides a forum to consider critical child welfare issues and inform the field about innovative policy and practice initiatives. The current program is a 4-part series focusing on strategies for transforming residential services and better integrating them into local systems of care. The series will feature representatives from SAMHSA, the Building Bridges Initiative, five agencies that provide residential services, family members, and youth. Join us to learn about innovative efforts that have been undertaken to transform residential treatment and its place in the system, learn about the major barriers that impede progress during the change process, and discover the critical success factors that enable organizations to overcome those barriers.
Registration
The Competence on Call series provides agencies with a convenient, cost-effective way to keep staff informed and involved in critical child welfare issues. The registration fee includes one telephone line and a complete set of program materials, which can be copied for each individual participant. The only limit to the number of employees who can participate is the size and acoustics of the room where they gather and the quality of the speakerphone.
The individual registration fee for each session is $65 for CWLA members, $145 for nonmembers. Agencies registering for all four sessions will receive one session free (a 25% discount), $195 for CWLA members: $435 for non-members. You will receive an e-mail confirmation approximately a week before the teleconference, as well as materials via the email address that you provide in your registration.
For questions about registration, please contact Davina Bennett by phone at 703/412-2403 or by email at dbennett@cwla.org. For questions about program content, please contact Andy Reitz by phone at 617/769-4011 or by email at areitz@cwla.org.
