P1: The Future of Children's Services:
An Opportunity for Dialogue with
Federal Representatives
This panel features leaders from the federal Department
of Health and Human Services representing key programs
that fund and regulate services for children and their
families, such as the Children's Bureau, SAMHSA,
and CMS. As a participant, you will hear future plans
regarding programs and funding for services, and you will
be given ample opportunity to provide input on behalf
of the children and families you serve. Come dialogue
with these key representatives and raise your voice
about cross-systems issues for children and families.
P2: Meet with the Media: An Opportunity
to Meet with Your Local Affiliates
To create visibility around the White House Conference
and other policy priorities for children, the League has
designated this time for you to meet with your local
media affiliates in Washington. Contact your local
media to set up this appointment before the conference,
and contact CWLA's Government Affairs department
with any questions. You and your media contact
will check-in at CWLA's press room before having your
discussion. Media is a huge component in our strategy
to shift our nation's priorities back toward children.
