Advocacy Day 2010!
Tuesday, January 26, 2010
Going to Capitol Hill Actually Makes a Difference!
The most important thing you can do while you're in Washington is visit your Member of Congress.
In recent years, CWLA members have played a vital role in enacting the Fostering Connections Act, rejecting harmful Medicaid regulations, and enacting economic recovery legislation that supported foster care, adoption assistance, kinship care, and health services for vulnerable children and youth. Join us on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 as we head to Capitol Hill to advocate for re-establishment of the White House Conference on Children and Youth, effective implementation of the Fostering Connections Act, increased resources in the federal budget for child welfare programs, better health care, and other important initiatives!
These are just a couple of examples that show how your visits to Congress have a direct effect on the lives of children. Join us on the Hill to keep up the momentum you have created!
Far too often, the needs of vulnerable children and youth are left behind. Your U.S. Senators and Representative must hear from you! Read more about Advocacy Day 2010 and JOIN US on Capitol Hill!
