Officially Pass a Board Resolution to Support a White House Conference on Children and Youth in 2010!
Passing an organizational board resolution demonstrates support. When many such resolutions pass all across the country it shows Congress and others that there is broad agreement that this conference needs to take place and that they should approve the authorizing legislation. Some agencies and organizations are required to adopt a formal resolution in order to endorse something like a White House Conference on Children and Youth. We have created a resource (below) that will aid you with that effort. You can use the sample resolution below to help you craft a resolution specific to your board and organization. Once your agency and organization has passed the resolution, it can then be sent to key policymakers and opinion makers, members of Congress, Presidential and Congressional candidates, your state governor, your local state legislator and your local media.
