LEGISLATIVE ALERT12/6/2007Sign-on in Support of Kinship!The Child Welfare League of America, Center for Law and Social Policy, Children's Defense Fund, Alliance for Children and Families,and Generations United are circulating the attached letter to Congress to organizations with an interest in child welfare issues. The letter endorses the Kinship Caregiver Support Act (H.R. 2188, S. 661), legislation that is now before Congress that would provide assistance to relatives who become the legal guardians of children in foster care.
